What I'm all about.
Let me give ya the lowdown on
We don't consider how important photographs are until they’re all we have left. The lasting impact of what I do didn't entirely hit me until a client reached out to let me know I took the last photos of her father. Moments that will be shared, discovered, and held close. Inevitably, all the photos I take will become the embers of loved-ones. It's scary (and moving) to have that role in the Universe.
here's a glimpse of me, and my why:
Hey there, I'm Martin.
The feeling I wasn't prepared for when I started all of this years ago, was knowing that there are photos and videos out there that will exist seemingly forever. Embers of loved-ones, where I captured their genuine selves before their passing. I also value the curiosity that comes with unpacking an old box of images; blowing off the dust, sorting through frames and albums, and flipping through pictures that you sometimes have to peel apart from one another. I do this to look back on people I didn't know and get a glimpse of who they were.
I'm a certified goofball with a degree in nerding-out on Star Wars, Theatre, Animation, and so much more! I went to school for film studies + communication, where I fell in love with the art of storytelling. I'm all about transparency and unraveling emotion. I deal with anxiety, and if you have any anxious feelings about your session, I hope that I can lessen any worry. Or at the very least, we can be anxious together. ✌🏼
